It’s a beautiful product I’m very happy…

It’s a beautiful product I’m very happy I spent a little more. Only thing I’d say the instructions are a bit unhelpful. The on off button doesn’t say on or off. And it’s not clear where button that switches the heat settings it.

Great products

Great products, fast delivery, and a smooth ordering experience. I can’t comment on the support, though...I’ve never needed it. ;)

Björn S.

Great product with one exception…

My big hug has been a really useful way of keeping heating costs down and keeping me warm. It’s a really well-made product. and the teddy fabric is holding up well. If I had one piece of feedback, it would be to provide variable warmth between the cushion section and the back section. I would love to be able to switch off the cushion section and keep the back section warm because it can get uncomfortably hot very quickly

FAQ's

How does Stoov heating work?

Stoov uses in house designed far infrared technology that warms you directly instead of heating the air around you. It’s efficient, safe, and gives you a cosy warmth that feels natural.

How long does the battery last?

Depending on the product, the battery type and heat setting, a Stoov keeps you warm for up to 14 hours on a single charge. Perfect for a full workday, a long evening on the couch or a night of camping.

Can I wash the cover?

Absolutely. All Stoov covers are removable and machine-washable. Just take out the heating element and battery, and wash the fabric according to the care label.

Where can I use my Stoov?

Anywhere you want. Stoov products are cordless and portable, so you can enjoy warmth at home, in your garden, in the office, on the terrace or even while camping. Warmth, your way.

Big Hug chair warmers

Some chairs never quite warm up, no matter how many blankets you pile on. The Big Hug chair warmer solves that by turning into instant warmth the moment you sit down, no cable, no waiting for the room to catch up. Lay it over your favourite armchair, office seat or garden bench and it stays exactly where you left it. It's the kind of warmth that's simply there, ready before you are.

How the warmth works

Big Hug uses the same infrared technology as the rest of the Stoov range, warming your body directly rather than heating the seat around you, closer to sunlight than an electric blanket. Choose from three heat settings, from a gentle warmth of up to 32°C to an intense high of up to 58°C for the coldest evenings. Runtime depends on the battery, from up to 2 hours on the Base battery to up to 3 hours on the Flex battery, plenty for a film or a long dinner. SmartWarm, our built-in safety system, monitors the temperature and switches off automatically, so it's safe to leave under you the whole time.

Why choose Stoov

Stoov has spent over 11 years designing cordless infrared warmth that holds up to daily life, not just a single winter. As a certified B Corp, that same care extends to how Big Hug is made, with 30% smaller packaging and FSC-certified materials reducing what's wasted along the way. It's warmth designed to earn its spot on your chair, season after season. The cover is removable and machine-washable, so it's easy to keep looking good.

Fabrics sizes and everyday use

Big Hug comes in a standard size and a larger XL, both cut generously enough to drape over an armchair or wrap around your legs on the sofa. Choose from fabrics like the classic Original, cosy Woolly or sturdy Canvas, each one built to feel as good as it looks. Most people keep one on their reading chair or favourite sofa spot, though it works just as well on a garden chair once the evenings turn cool.

A warm seat waiting for you

There's no wrong chair for a Big Hug, only the one you already gravitate towards. Drape it over your spot before you sit down and let the warmth do the rest. Every order comes with a 30-day try-out, so you can decide once it's part of your evening routine. We hope it becomes the seat everyone reaches for first.
