Understanding Stoov’s safety features

Your Stoov is designed to bring cosy warmth, but like any heating product, following a few safety rules is important. This guide explains how to use your Stoov safely so you can enjoy warmth without worry.

How Stoov keeps you safe:

  • SmartWarm Safety System: Every Stoov has a built-in safety system that constantly monitors temperature, voltage, and current. If something goes wrong, Stoov will automatically switch off.
  • Auto-off Timer: If left on by mistake, Stoov shuts down after roughly 8 hours.
  • Low-voltage & Thermal Sensors: Stoov uses safe low voltage (12 V). Sensors monitor heat, battery status, and power flow to prevent overheating or electrical issues.
  • Overheating Protection: If the battery or heating element gets too hot, Stoov lowers the heat automatically or shuts off completely.
  • Step-down Function: Stoov has three heat levels. The highest is a quick boost to warm you up fast. After a while, it drops to a lower level to stay safe and comfortable.

(highest setting uses the most energy, lower levels maintain warmth without overheating, using medium or low helps the battery last longer).

Important safety tips

  • Use only original Stoov battery & charger

Always use the battery and charger that came with your Stoov. Third-party parts can damage the product or be unsafe.

  • Don’t cover or fold while using

Avoid covering your Stoov with extra blankets or sitting on it while it’s folded. Proper airflow keeps heat stable and safe.

  • Continuous use? Choose lower settings

The highest setting is a quick warm-up. For long use or resting, choose the medium or low setting to avoid overheating.

  • Use preferably on battery power

Stoov is safest and most comfortable when running on its battery only, not while plugged in.

  • Storing your Stoov

You normally do not need to remove the battery. Simply switch the slide switch to OFF. Only remove the battery if, you are storing the Stoov for a long period (e.g., summer). Charge the battery for 3 hours every 2–3 months to keep it healthy.

Who should avoid using a Stoov

  • People with heat sensitivity or reduced temperature sensation
  • Babies (not allowed)
  • Children (only supervised & on the lowest setting)
  • People with medical implants like pacemakers – always consult a doctor
  • Usage during pregnancy – always consult a doctor

With its SmartWarm Safety System and thoughtful design, Stoov gives you warmth without worries. Follow these rules and enjoy cosy comfort safely every time.
